Head to Heart Pathway
Do you know the Kurt Vonnegut Jr. quote, “And I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.”? I associate it with May, college graduations and lemonade. Here, up for grabs are two paintings that when put together make more of a flamingo than one canvas can hold. It is built up of many bits of loveliness – paintings of Le Croix cans, marbled paper I made years ago, doilies from Valentine projects, origami paper, bracelets from COVID screenings and tissue paper with gold dots.
It would be striking in any venue, but I can really imagine it in a beach house. Or put it in your city house to give a beach vibe!
This flamingo is on two canvases. Together they are 20 inches tall x 20.5 inches wide. You hang it with 2 nails 10.5 inches apart and level to each other.
